Before your massage
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with the following: Cash, credit card, Venmo, Zelle, and we offer Buy Now Pay Later with Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna
What should I do if I need to cancel my appointment?
We ask that you provide us with 48 hours’ notice that you need to reschedule your appointment. If you reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice you will forfeit your 50% deposit
How Long does a massage therapy session last?
The duration of a massage therapy session can vary depending on your preference and needs. At Kinetic Myofascial & Therapeutic Massage we believe in whole body therapy, which offers 60 or 90 hands on minutes for our massage sessions
What should I wear?
You can undress to your comfort level. Many people undress down to their underwear, but it is not required.
What should I expect during my first session?
You will fill out a health history form in the Glossgenius booking site and discuss your health concerns, medications, and any injuries with your therapist.
Should I shower?
Yes, it is recommended to shower before your appointment.
What if I have health conditions?
Inform your therapist about any health conditions, injuries, or medications you are taking, as this helps to determine the right approach and avoid contraindications.
During your massage
Will it hurt?
Massage should not be painful, but some discomfort is normal in areas of chronic pain or tension. Make sure to communicate to your therapist if the pressure is too intense.
Do I have to talk?
It is up to you. Many people prefer to remain quiet, while others find it helpful to talk.
What if I fall asleep?
It’s common and okay to fall asleep. The therapist will not mind and will wake you up during the session if needed and when your session has ended.
After your massage
How will I feel?
You will likely feel relaxed. Some people may feel dizziness and temporary soreness, especially after a deep tissue massage.
Should I do anything specific?
It is recommended to drink plenty of water and avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours after your session.
Is it normal to feel sore?
Yes, feeling sore for a day or two afterwards is normal.
How often should I get a massage?
This depends on your physical condition, mental health, and budget. It is recommended to get a massage between 2-4 weeks. Your therapist will discuss your treatment plan with you and how frequently you should get a massage.
How much should I tip?
Gratuity is up to your discretion. 20% of the treatment price is standard, but it is not a requirement.
